In 2019, at the ICOM General Assembly in Kyoto, ICOM established the ICOM Resolution No.1, “On sustainability and the implementation of Agenda 2030, Transforming our World”, with recommendations to ICOM Committees, Alliances, Affiliated Organisations and Secretariat to embrace sustainability as part of the museum’s commitment to address the challenges of our time.
